Historic Church Walk
One of the most interesting things happening this weekend is a historic church walk in Downtown Raleigh. This is a family friendly, self-guided tour and best of all it’s FREE! It’s scheduled for Saturday morning 9am-noon, when when the churches will open their doors, invite you in, point out details and items of interest, and answer any questions you may have regarding architecture, or the history of the church.

Fall Flea Market at Gresham Lake
If you like antiques & flea market events this event shows promise. It’s a biannual event so the next one won’t be happening until next spring.
Dragon Obstacle Course Race
This is the kind of race that almost anyone can get down with. It’s a Halloween themed race that’s about 1.5 miles in length with over 20 different obstacles consisting of cargo nets, rope climbs, A-frames, etc… For tickets Visit Their Website.
Taste of China
Stop by the Bicentennial Plaza (near the capitol building) and check out the Taste of China festival where you can taste ethic cuisines from different regions of China. You can also enjoy Chinese culture and entertainment including the dragon and lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, folk & traditional dances, musical performances and many other fun things happening between 11am-5pm. 2nd Annual Raleigh Festa Italiana

Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo
This event takes place from 3pm-9pm, covers 11 city blocks, about 50 food trucks and seating for about 1,000 people. That being said, it’s sometimes hard to find a nice cool place to relax and eat your food. So come mentally prepared to be a bit uncomfortable. But, because of how the weather is looking, this is the best time to try out this food truck rodeo!
