Raleigh Roots History Festival @ Moore Square
This is the inaugural presentation of this event by the City of Raleigh’s Historic Resources & Museums program. To be completely honest, I am not a fan of the Moore Square renovation. If you haven’t seen it yet this should be a good time to check it out. I’m hopping this festival opens my eyes to how the space can be properly utilized, but we shall see! If nothing else the weather will be beautiful!
3rd Annual Sir Walter Smoke-Off
I love BBQ! In this event over a dozen BBQ teams compete for some silly trophy… but it doesn’t matter who wins, because the real winners are the attendees who get to sample some great BBQ, enjoy live music and spend time with friends.. btw, bring your friends! Tickets are just $20.
