The event is sponsored by Key City Spirits, Copper Barrel Moonshine & others so there will be moonshine and beer tastings all night. Come out, show support and welcome Riddle to the Triangle!

Free Dog Training Classes @ Change of Heart Pit Bull Rescue
The pit bulls just can’t get enough love! Change of Heart is a special type of rescue that goes that extra mile to help all the little pibbles of the world find good homes, or at least as many as they can manage. If your pup needs a good lecture, bring em out and see what these free classes are all about. Click the link to check out the event details and sign up.
DownTown Abby & The Echoes @ Pour House
In their first time back in Raleigh, since winning the FloydFest 19′ On-The-Rise series in July, DownTown Abby & The Echoes will be bringing the FUNK to the Pour House! These guys are great, if you like a good mix of soul, blues & southern rock you’re sure to enjoy an evening spent with this North Carolina based band. No jokes, if you’re looking to enjoy some music this weekend, don’t miss this!
Found Footage Fest @ Alamo Drafthouse
Who likes weird things? I mean really, don’t we all? Well, Joe Pickett (The Onion) & Nick Prueher (The Colbert Report) have put together all sorts of weird and fun videos for us to watch. Click the link to get all the details, there are plenty of shows to enjoy. And if you’ve never been to the Alamo, you don’t even need a ticket, just go in, grab a brew and enjoy the eclectic 80’s motif.
Incredibles 2 & Super Hero Costume Contest @ Dix Park
If you’re looking for some family fun, or a good date night option, the Incredibles 2 is a safe bet for a fun and relaxing evening with loved ones. Bring a chair, a blanket, a blow up raft or whatever you want, just make sure you bring bug spray too!
Late Night Jazz @ The Irregardless Cafe
If outdoor movies aren’t your thing, maybe you’re in the mood for relaxation and sophistication? The Lydia Salett Dudley Quintet will be at Irregardless Cafe, starting at 9pm and finishing up around 11pm. This is also a great date night option… *wink wink* (Side Note: On Saturday nights after 9pm, there will be a $2.50 surcharge per person with a $10 minimum.)
Sep 1:
Live Street Art & Mural Painting @ Imurj
Sundays are all about relaxing, recovering, and getting your mind right, even if it’s a 3 or 4 day weekend (for some of us). This Graffix event brings together 11 local street artist who will create custom murals on 4×8 ft plywood paneling. For more information about this event and other murals around Raleigh check out The Raleigh Murals Project.
Food Truck Rodeo @ Durham Central Park
So, if you’ve read much of the content on Explore Raleigh, there’s a running theme that food truck rodeos are mostly ‘bad’. But… the Durham Food Truck Rodeo has been dub’d by this website as ‘the good one’. So go forth and enjoy! Durham Central Park is actually really nice, and this event is sure to be fun. The only bad thing is that you gotta drive to Durham…. but… it is what it is….
Tobacco Road 2nd Anniversary Party
If you’re mind is set to stay in Raleigh AND be indoors, we got you covered too! Tobacco Road is hosting their 2nd Anniversary Party this Sunday from 1:30-9pm. The party includes live music throughout the day, special beer releases (while they last) and a bounce house for kiddos.
Explore Dix Park Walking Tour
If you should decide to get out and experience the weather, a walk through Dix Park is a fun way to enjoy your Sunday. Bring a friend or loved one and hold hands, and yes, it’s okay for friends to hold hands, just because American culture says you shouldn’t, screw it, it’s okay, many cultures throughout South America encourage hand holding with friends. If anyone says anything, just tell them you identify as South American for the day. Okay, my weird hand holding rant is now complete..
