I recently went to the North Carolina Museum of Art and toured Leonardo da Vinci’s Codex Leicester and the Creative Mind exhibit and let me tell you, it’s VERY impressive. Essentially this codex was a notebook da Vinci used to organize his thoughts and it’s possible he was using this notebook as a stepping stone to a book he wanted to publish. It’s super cool! One of the things I found most interesting and that I can actually spend hours on is called the “Code Scope”. The code scope translates his work and lets you really dive into some of the thoughts and discoveries da Vinci was making.
This exhibit opens up on the 31st of October and ends on the 17th of January. Tickets are $18 and you also gain entry into “The Worlds of M. C. Escher” exhibit. I’ll do a post on that later.
