Earlier today I was able to get a sneak peek of the Art in Bloom exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Art. First let me say the first thing I noticed when I walked in the museum was the way it smelled, it smelled like a garden. I’m certain the museum has never smelled this good before!
The exhibit consists of about 45 different flower arrangements that are artistic representations and inspirations from pieces of art within the museum. I’m not the most artistic person and most the pieces weren’t finished when I saw them today so I struggled with some pieces. But others were amazing and I could really appreciate them and could gaze upon them for quite a while. One of the highlights of this exhibit is easily the representation of Three Graces.
There was one arrangement that just smelled so good I wanted to bury my face in it! I can’t wait to go back later in the week and see everything when it’s finalized.
This is a great time to visit the NCMA if you’ve never been or haven’t been in a while. It’s also a great way to welcome Spring!
