Free parking in downtown Raleigh is few and far between and all the hidden spots have all but been eliminated but if we can find any more spots we’ll be sure to relist them.
Parking Map
The city has put together a nice little interactive parking map with all the parking lots and decks in the downtown area, it can sometimes be a bit challenging to operate from a mobile phone but check it out here: Interactive Parking Map for Downtown Raleigh
Street Parking in Downtown Raleigh
Street parking is marked and you need to pay close attention. If it is a blue parking sign you have to pay between 8am & 5pm Monday – Friday. On the weekends and after 5pm street parking is free. However, green signs that have limited time like “1 hour parking” or “2 hour parking” do not charge but may also say “permit required” and the permit can kick at at random hours like 4pm or 11pm. It can be a bit confusing just make sure you read the signs and if you’re on the street and your parking spot has a number its most likely a paid spot.
