Free Parking in Downtown Raleigh

If you want to park in Downtown Raleigh during the day for free, forget about it, you’ll have to bite the bullet and pay. There’s virtually no way around it. But, there are some FREE parking spots in the downtown area if you know where to look. Below you’ll find a list of places you can park for FREE on nights and weekends. Also remember there is FREE parking on the street after 5pm & on the weekends. So brush up on your parallel parking!

  1. You said there are some free spaces during the day if you know where they are, but then you do not tell us WHERE THEY ARE! Thanks for nothing!

  2. If I park in a paid parking deck or lot during the day, but my car is still there after 7pm, do I still have to pay for the time I was parked there? Or do I get to drive off for free?

  3. Do you know anything about the parking at the Sheraton Hotel? I know anyone can park in their parking garage, but wasn’t sure if it was free after 5pm on a weekday or not.
